About Us

I debated about this page in that I’m not one to put a bunch of personal info out on the internet. At the same time we like being part of a RVing community and following other RVers as well.

Soooooo, briefly and simply “we” are Dan & Shelley and we hail from the Vancouver area of gorgeous British Columbia, Canada. (Distinction made because of Vancouver, WA.) Currently we have a sticks and bricks about an hour and a bit outside of downtown Vancouver in the Fraser Valley area. Both of us were born in/near Vancouver and we have significant ties to the area.

We’ve always been “campers”. Started off with a tiny tent (3′ high by 5′ wide x 7′ long – no lie LOL) and moved to an old truck and camper, then another tent with a baby, tent trailer with 2 kids, and (sigh) back to a tent because we bought a boat. Camper and truck again (towing said boat) and a break for a number of years while our girls were involved in their pursuits. We did some traveling and then decided to buy a RV again. This time we went big. Real Big. I bought a Dodge 1 ton truck with dual tires and shortly after we bought a toy hauler that was about 39′. Loved the truck and loved the majority of the layout of the toy hauler. Would we get one again – probably. There were so many features that were great.

For various reasons we ended up trading in the truck (big sobs here) and trailer for a motorhome. Hubs had been doing quite a bit of research along with our Travel Buddy (TB) and they decided a Tiffin motorhome was the route to go. Some time later we were the owners of a Tiffin Allegro RED (rear engine diesel).

It was a bit shorter than the trailer and of course you lose room because of the cockpit but great for the two of us. Much easier to do the kind of traveling we wanted to do over the next “so many” years.

And here we are! Finally writing a bit about our travels, a bit about things that work or don’t work and somewhere along the way hoping to share experiences and info.
